Dr. Rudra Prosad Ghosh

Dr. Ghosh has worked as the Resident Surgeon and Clinical Tutor at The Regional Institute of Ophthalmology (R.I.O. - a tertiary level eye care system, center of excellence), Medical College, Kolkata which is a post graduate teaching as well as a clinical post. He has performed more than 4000 Phacoemulsification Surgeries as well as more than 8000 SICS (manual Phaco) surgeries besides Glaucoma, Lacrimal, Eyelid and Keratoplasty surgeries, etc in the past few years. He also performs Retinal and Anterior Segment Laser surgeries besides Ophthalmic Investigative procedures like Spectralis 3D OCT, ICG Angiography, Fundus Fluorescein Angiography, B-scan Ultrasonography, Stratus Optical Coherence Tomography, Gdx-VCC. Dr. Ghosh is also having proficiency in using the following advanced ophthalmic instruments like AMO Sovereign Whitestar Phacoemulsification system, Alcon Infiniti phaco system, Bausch and Lomb Stellaris, Oertli Phaco system, Alcon Accurus Vitrectomy Unit, Zeiss double frequency Nd YAG Laser, etc. He is a professional member of All India Ophthalmological Society, Delhi Ophthalmological Society, Ophthalmological Society of West Bengal and Indian Medical Association.
