My uncle and aunt both were Dr Rit Chowdhury's patients. My aunt visited him with a sensitive tooth. He advised him RCT and did it without routine x-ray. Moreover he convinced her for fixing a pair of bridges at two vacant places and did all in three seating. Cost of each bridge was ₹30000/- and Dr gave my aunt one card of Bio Dental Art assuring it will help her getting service across India. To our surprise his treatment could give my aunt no relief. She had one pre-planned tour to another city for which she left patuli even with her discomfort.

While staying in other city my aunt's discomfort turned out unbearable and she had to visit another Doctor. ****** ***** **** *** *** ****** ******** **** *** ***** ** ******* *** ***** **** *** ***** *** ***** ***** ** ** **** *** ****** ** ******* *** **** ****** *** ******* ********* He didn't accept Bio Dental Art card, denied to work on bridge and advised to consult the doctor who had fixed it. Aunt misery was resolved to some extent.

After coming back to Kolkata aunt met Dr Rit Chowdhury with prior appointment and was shocked by his unprofessional behaviour. After listening to her difficulty he murmured ******* **** ********* *** ****** ** ***** **** and suddenly left his chamber instead of writing his prescription. My aunt was waiting for him inside his chamber for some time and finally was told by his secretary that her turn is over and she may leave. As aunt came out of the clinic, she found the doctor was busy in talking to his driver and paid no respectful attention to her. **** ** *** ***** ** ***** ******** ******* ***** * ******** ****** *** **** ***** ** *** ********** *** *** ********* ***** **** ** ** ***** ** ******* ****** *** **** * ******.

My aunt is now under treatment of another doctor of our city. Finally her bridges were removed. ****** ******* **** *** ********* ** *********** ********

Only Good point is that it is very hyeginic and very well maintained about covid Protocols.

Now coming to the point what I visited for.

I had cavity in my right teeth(two to three teeth) after doing Xray it was found , of which the doctor said I needed RCT to be done and charged me Rs.12000(yes, Twelve Thousand Rupees together) before starting any of my RCT seating and given me 1st date to come for it.

On the 1st date he refused to do my seating inspite of me having tremendous pain since he had some personal problem.

Next seating again he cancelled ******* ** *** **** ****** ** *** *****

3rd I was called and made to seat for quite sometime ,and after that he sent his wife to do my seating ,while he was sitting inside a car outside the clinic saying his hand is still not fine ***** *********** and I refuse take seating from his wife .

I have still tolerated all this because i have already paid my hard earned money for it.

After all the seatings done with multiple in between cancellations for many unprofessional reason ,i still had pain in my tooth after crowning..so again I went to show him of which it was found that he fixed only one tooth and there is still cavity on the tooth just beside my crown . I still have the same pain from before RCT till date.

I am sorry but I have never seen such unprofessionalism in any serious profession like healthcare.

I hope he start caring for others time *** ****** *****

I will not recommend him to anyone.

Extremely rude *** ******** ******* * **** ***** ** ** ** ****** ***** Took money from my mother in advance and didn’t do sittings for four months as was promised. She was in severe pain still the doctor kept pushing appointments. When asked for refund he clearly said - “won’t give you.”

Regret to inform that, in practo app the visiting charge is mentioned as 200. But I was charged 400. This is totally misleading to the patients.
