Dr. Debashis Sarkar

Dr. Debashis Sarkar is an eminent consultant in the field of Internal Medicine for past 35 years. His area of special interest includes: Infectious diseases, critical care, border-zones between interventional services and conservative medicine. He has won various awards accolades throughout his academic life. He has got National scholarship, National Science Talent Search Scholarship, Jagadis Bose National Science Talent Search Scholarship, West Bengal Scholarship for Medicine, Dinanath Bose Medal ( Medical Chemistry) and K Nandy Medal (Psychiatry). He has also received Acharya P.C.Ray Award (Medical Chemistry), Honors Certificate: (Pharmacology), Class Assistantship: Medicine, Pharmacology, GObs. He is a life member of Association of physicians of India, Cardiological Society of India, and Indian Society of Gastroenterology. Dr. Debashis Sarkar is a consultant to several leading hospitals of Kolkata. Besides clinical work, he was also a part of the team for planning and implementation of a new hi-tech hospital with activities including development of medical software, directing and coordinating the teams of all clinical streams involved therein.
