While writing a review for something, mostly common man like me - just wants to write something casually/ in short like good, bad etc. But this review writing is a privilege for my family & friends. This is regarding my brother’s chemo treatment under Dr Asutosh Daga -Oncologist Dhakuria Manipal .
My Eleder Brother is the patient and personally I have handled everything. So, it’s my personal experience and feelings altogether which I am shearing below with all facts, just in case it helps someone to come out of dark tunnel of cancer.
In last December2024, a very large colon tumor (3rd stage cancer -37 LNS) was detected on his colon. ***** ********** ******* ****************** *** ***** ******** ** *** ******** ***** ** ******* * ******** * ** **** * ** ******* ********** ******** ** *** ********* * **** ********* ******* ** *** *** **** ** ** * ******** *** *** ***** *** ******** ** ********** ******* ** ********* **** *** ** * ******** * ** **** * *** ***** **** *** ********* ************** **** ******* ***** *** * *** ** ****** *** ** *** ******** ** * ******** ****** *** ******* ****** ** * ******** *** ** **** *** ******** *** ******** ******* *** **** ** ******** ** ***** **** *** ********** *** *********** ** *** ******** ********** ** **** *** ******* ***** ******** we were in double mind whether to start chemotherapy in Manipal Dhakuria or to move in some other bigger -reputed facility outside Kolkata. Although Surgent Dr S Banerjee & Dr Bera strongly recommended name of Dr Asutosh Daga for chemotherapy, my first meet with Dr Asutosh Daga was full of doubts and apprehensions. This disease is dangerous in all sense but for the family members it’s a big challenge especially to handle a patient, mentally broken down and to arrange finance etc is really tough task for many families.
During the first conversation, Dr Daga talked absolutely straight without any if …buts …sugar coating and with authority. I remember while I asked him – “why should someone try this treatment procedure under you risking his life without knowing whether something wrong is happening or not “He replied without any hesitation “you can check/ verify my prescription anywhere in this world, during any stages of treatment and come straight to me to prove me wrong “. We decided to start the process under Dr Daga and within few days started realizing that my brother is in the right place * ***** **** **** without any doubt. Personally, for my parents and other close relative I have interacted with lot of doctors / surgeon and had mixed experiences but I have no hesitation to write that never ever interacted with such a tall personality showing ***** humanity , dedication , honesty and many things more ……in fact I don’t have the right word to express my feelings about this gentleman doctor who takes care of small things with a smile and kindness always. He has replied all urgent messages always irrespective of either very early morning or deep in the night or any hours of crisis. Generally, you wait for most of the doctors in OPD but in his case he always comes early, before everybody. Something very important – TIME, which is most precious in our life.
In several occasions I personally complained about lot of short comings of this facility. **** **** *************** ******* ******** ** ****** ******* **************** *********** *********** **** **** **** ********* ******** ********** ** ******* **** ***** ***** ** ***** * *** ** ******* *** **** ** **** ****** *** ********* ************ ** ****** ******* ************* ***** ****** **** ***** *** ***** ****** *** **** *** ********** ** ********* ********** *** * **** ** **** ** ***** **** ********* ** **** **** ** ******* **** ** ********** ****** ** ***** *** ** ** *** **** ***** ***** *********I can not judge how good oncologist Dr Daga is but I have the result in front of me. My brother is back in normal life mostly with some general medicines and already started his work for livelihood within 6 months’ time, as envisaged by this gentleman, tall doctor -Asutosh Daga. My family and myself are praying to DeVine mother for a very long healthy active live of Dr Asutosh Daga so that many other families could be benefited from his dedicated selfless services. Strongly recommending everybody -consult doctor Asutosh Daga if you are confused, at least for the right direction of treatment.

If you need a family member in the form of a Medical Oncologist, Dr Daga is the right person. God could not be with us for my wife's treatment but he heard our prayers and sent Dr Daga for treating her.
He not only supported with the treatment, but counselled, fought with the hospital management, reached hospital not once but twice at 11PM /12 AM in the night when she needed to be admitted in EMERGENCY, and have been a family member since day 1.
M17 bed was reserved for my wife, whenever she went for Chemotherapy, so that she gets the treatment right infront of the nurses and floor manager and be quickly assisted in case needed.
Late night calls, N number of msgs, multiple questions dont irritate him. He has a cool head on his shoulders. He listens to them patiently and responds with whats best for the patient.
Going beyond the line of duty, he helped get me an appointment when my mother had a hip fracture, with another doctor whom I consider as GOD, while my wife was admitted due to side effects of chemo.
There would be shortcomings in any person, nobody is perfect, but I could not identify any in him. ** *** *** ******* ****** *** ******** ** *******
Though this word seems small when compared to the support and help you provided, Thank you Dr. Ashutosh Daga for all the help and support!
My Mother ,74 yrs under treatment of Lung Cancer grade IV under Dr Ashutosh Daga who is extremely Superb and like a Family Member with caring Mother like ahis own Mother too.My Mother under treatment with him since Oct'25 with Lung Cancer and till now Good Condition. and Stable too

Its not about treatment, the humbleness of Dr. Ashutosh Daga is so so admirable.Any given point of time if needed I can connect him for my Mom.Under his treatment and obaervation my Mom is doing well. He is such a wonderful person and a brilliant Doctor. Thank you Sir.
