Dr Abhra Chandra Chowdhury says "he has completed my MBBS from Calcutta National Medical College. Following MBBS I have done DNB Medicine from the prestigious institute Christian Medical College, Vellore. After obtaining a post graduation in medicine, he has spent one year at the Department of Rheumatology and Clinical Immunology at CMC Vellore under the supervision of Prof. Debasish Danda. Subsequently, he got selected for DM Rheumatology course at one of the most premier institutes of the country - Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGIMS), Lucknow. There he had the opportunity to work under Prof Ramnath Misra and Prof Amita Aggarwal who have trained some of the best rheumatologists in the country.During my years at CMC Vellore and SGPGIMS Lucknow, he has gained vast experience in the management of rheumatic diseases. he has been trained in musculoskeletal ultrasound as well as MRI.Rheumatology is a relatively newer subspecialty of medicine. The burden of rheumatic diseases is huge and often they lead to disability or mortality at a relatively young age. Awareness about management of rheumatic diseases is lacking amongst patients as well as general physicians. his goal is to develop this speciality in West Bengal and to improve the management of patients with rheumatic diseases".

Happy with: Doctor friendliness
I had visited Dr.Chowdhury on3nd of Jan with severe joint pain and swelling. His friendly behavior, positive advise and proper guidance to cope with the disease was really helpful. I am really satisfied with his treatment Thank you so much doctor.
May be the doctor was good and after consulting with him and his medication the symptomatic relief was happen, but the most important thing that with a high fees he never discussed about the prescribed medication or anything with the patients and discuss other things for the advertisement. Only soft spoken and friendly behaviour was not always very much helpful for patients. As a patient we want to more concerned about our problems and looking for a high solutions. His non medical stuff discussed about medicine with patients and the patients are not allowed to entertain by the doctor further about the other questions and future troubleshooting. No contact details was shared only shared a non medical staff number which was not helpful to resolve the actual resolution. If the patients are suffering from any adverse effects it's difficult to get in touch with him and difficult to get a suitable guidence on time. This is my personal unbiased opinion. Some people may achieved a good outcome but for me it's not that much appreciated so I put the feedback.
I had gone through the reviews on practo before visiting the doctor but unfortunately it was not a good experience. To treat a patient, one should have enough patience to listen to the issue thoroughly.Doctor din't want to listen to me or go through previous reports.Without knowing the whole matter he concluded that if my back pain is more then I have to take expensive injections. After that he just suggested me a website and asked me to study about ankylosing spondylitis. Also he asked me to refer to the website only for video of excercises.I don't understand that if I simply have to refer to a website for all these then why should I visit a doctor?I had very much disappointing experience.
