I am a Consultant Surgical Oncologist at the Department of Surgical Oncology, Desun Hospital, Kolkata, with specialized expertise in Gastro-Intestinal, Head & Neck, Thyroid, Breast, and Gynaecological malignancies.My approach to cancer care is centered on the belief that every patient represents a unique clinical journey, requiring individualized, evidence-based, and holistic treatment planning. I am committed to delivering comprehensive oncological care that is tailored to each patient’s disease profile, overall health, functional needs, and personal circumstances.Over the course of my professional journey, I have had the privilege of being associated with several prestigious institutions, including Banaras Hindu University, AIIMS Rishikesh, KGMU Lucknow, Tata Medical Centre Kolkata, and Chittaranjan National Cancer Institute, New Town Campus, Kolkata. These experiences have contributed significantly to my clinical expertise, academic orientation, and multidisciplinary approach to complex cancer management.At Desun Hospital, I am actively involved not only in advanced surgical oncology practice but also in training and teaching initiatives. I provide interdepartmental support for the management of complex and challenging oncological cases, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.My surgical expertise encompasses a wide spectrum of advanced oncological procedures, including VATS-guided thoracic tumour excision, Whipple’s procedure, cytoreductive surgery, complex colorectal surgeries, radical nephroureterectomy, breast conservation surgery, and surgeries for thyroid and oral cancers, among others.
