What is Triceps Tendonitis?

Triceps tendonitis would most commonly occur in a traumatic event such as a rapid extension of the elbow specifically with a fall, where the tendon can rupture and be pulled off the bone. If this occurs you may have a divot or bump in the elbow, you would have extreme difficulty extending the elbow. So if you had trauma and inability to extend your arm specifically if there’s a divot at the elbow, please seek out medical attention to verify and properly diagnose your condition.

The triceps is the muscle behind the back of the arm and its tendon attaches to the bone prominence at the end of your elbow, as you extend your elbow it is the triceps muscle and tendon you are working here.

In triceps tendonitis where this tendon or muscles attached to the bone becomes painful, inflamed, or irritated. This could be if you are a weight lifter, or bodybuilder this could be if you are doing any repetitive activity.
