This is a condition in which a new born child born with absent / partially developed food-pipe (oesophagus). Its termed as Tracheo-oesophageal Fistula . It has 5 types of variety and most common variety has absent food pipe upper end and lower end is connected with wind pipe (Trachea). Its a critical newborn surgical condition which require operation as early as possible to separate food pipe and wind pipe and creation of new food pipe: so that new born can be given breast feeding and can be survived.
