  2. Bacteria 
  3. Host Factor
  4. The time it results in a cavity

So that means if we reduce the amount of time the cariogenic food (high carbohydrate) stays in the mouth we can avoid cavities. The pH of mouth drops as soon as we have food. If the pH drops there is a higher chance of cavities. So it is very important to clean the mouth after every food that goes in the mouth.
