ADHD is a common neurodevelopmental disorder which is often diagnosed in childhood, and associated with persistent symptoms like inattentiveness, hyperactivity and impulsiveness. It is one of the most commonly diagnosed mental disorders in children. DSM 5refers to it as Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, while ICD 10 criteria fall under the category of Hyperkinetic disorders.
