Autism and ADHD are the two most commonly seen neurobehavioural disorders seen nowadays. As a ayurvedic pediatrician, I daily come across a lot of cases. In Ayurveda these both can be understood under the heading of Unmada ( psychology disorder)  ASD can be understood as Kaphaja Unmada and ADHD as vatana Unmada . The treatment approach is different in both case. Along with oral medicine, panch in regular intervals. One among them is Shirodhara, where we use medicated oil , this oil is pour over forehead from certain distance. This brings calmness to the mind. Herbs used have neuro protective activity also. It will improve the sleep quality of the patient.
