• Walk at least 30–45 minutes daily.

• Avoid sugar, sweets, bakery items, and soft drinks.

• Eat small frequent meals instead of large meals.

• Increase vegetables, salads, whole grains, and pulses.

• Reduce rice, potatoes, and refined flour (maida).

• Maintain healthy weight and regular exercise.

• Sleep 7–8 hours daily and  reduce stress.

• Stop tobacco and alcohol.

• Check blood sugar regularly and take medicines as prescribed.
