What is Cholesterol?
Cholesterol is a waxy substance which flows in our body. The body needs cholesterol to develop hormones and vitamin c that will help indigestion. There are two types of cholesterol in our body - LDL (Low-Density Lipoprotein) and HDL (High-Density Lipoprotein).
How cholesterol is good for the body?
Everything in limit is always good for health. Same as go with the cholesterol. If the body contains the right amount of cholesterol, then it is good for the body, but if the cholesterol goes high, it will affect the heart.
As per the medical reports or from our daily knowledge we only know that cholesterol is bad for our body but it's not cholesterol that helps in developing our blood. It develops in our bodies naturally. Just like a coin, there are also a two-phase of cholesterol - LDL or Lower Density Lipoprotein and HDL or High-Density Lipoprotein.
Blood travels from the liver to all the parts of the bloodstream, but the blood cholesterol also moves with it. Once LDL starts moving in the body, it clogs the arteries and causes atherosclerosis whereas else HDL helps in controlling the LDL level in the blood.
LDL turns into plaque build-up in the arteries. HDL absorbs the LDL and carries it back to the liver where it gets flushed out from the body.
