A kidney stone is formed when the mineral and salt content in your urine is high. They are usually hard deposits and there is an increasing incidence of this condition. 

Causes of kidney stones include 

1. improper diet,

5.  Irregular bladder emptying

6. certain supplements and medications

Symptoms  can be variable 

no symptoms 

sharp pain in your back, lower abdomen, or groin region,

blood in your urine, or burning urination

nausea, vomiting, 

fever, chills, 

urine particles or sediments

How to Prevent

Drinking a lot of water is the first line of treatment for Kidney stones 

Avoid too much non-vegetarian food

avoid too much oxalate rich food like chocolates, spinach, dry fruits

don't Hold urine for longer periods

take citrous fruits

What to do

for smaller stones, a trial of medicines can be given,

however if the stone still does pass out then surgery is recommended ( lithotripsy, URSL, PCNL surgery)  if the stone is too large or is causing difficulty in passing urine.
