15 Jan 2025                                      Daily Skin Care Routine

A simple, effective daily skincare routine focuses on three core needs: cleansing, moisturizing, and protecting. Skin needs hydration, gentle care, and UV protection; it does not need harsh chemicals, excessive steps, or high-frequency exfoliation.

Cleanser     Use a  gentle, pH-balanced cleanser twice daily (morning and night). Removes dirt,  oil, makeup, and pollutants which can clog pores and cause the complexion to  appear dull, without stripping the skin's natural barrier. It clears away  dirt, surplus oil, makeup, and other impurities that can clog pores and cause  the complexion to appear dull.                                Harsh face wash can dry up your skin, prick  it, and can even trigger more breakouts, therefore mild, moisturizing  formulas that preserve the pH balance of the skin are preferable.

Exfoliation    Exfoliate lightly to prevent small tears on the skin. Once or twice a week exfoliation  will make the skin appear more even and brighter-looking. It prevents dark  spots and tanning. Boosts in skin renewal.

Moisturiser      Apply a  moisturizer twice daily (morning and night) after cleansing . Hydrates the  skin and seals in moisture to maintain a healthy skin barrier. Swap heavier  moisturizers for lighter, oil free options.

A moisturiser on damp skin  protects the skin, and prevents dryness. When your skin is properly  moisturised, it appears plumper, suppler, and healthy-looking. Use  moisturisers that contain natural ingredients such as hyaluronic acid and  deliver intense nutrition.

Sunscreen    Apply a  broad-spectrum sunscreen with at least SPF 30and PA ++ rating every morning.  Shields skin from harmful UVA and UVB rays, preventing premature aging and  skin cancer. It also helps fix the skin barrier and lessen dark spots. Apply both  indoors and outdoors, and reapply every 2–3 hours if exposed to sun or  infront of computer

Serum – (PM)   Use an Antioxidant-Rich  Serum to give your skin a quick nutrition boost. Look for components such as  Vitamin C, Resveratrol, and Algal Extracts to brighten hydrate, smooth skin

Eye Cream – (PM)     Apply an eye cream that is designed for a particular problem, such as  puffy eyes or dark circles.

Additional  Advice for Glowing Skin

  •  Drink lots of water for your skin to be hydrated from within.
  • Eat a healthy diet that  contains lots of fruits, vegetables, and antioxidants.
  •  Rest enough for your skin  to recover and feel fresh once again.
  • Use fewer products—keep it  simple and the same.
  • Gently resurface the skin using products that contain retinol as well as alpha hydroxy acids and beta hydroxy acids (AHAs and BHAs).
  • Spot treat your breakouts with salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide.

 What  Your Skin Doesn't Need

  • Harsh ingredients:   Avoid strong  fragrances, drying alcohols, and harsh scrubs, which can irritate and damage the skin barrier.
  • Excessive steps: More products do not equal better skin. Overloading your skin can cause irritation and breakouts . A simple 3-step routine is highly effective
  • High-frequency exfoliation:  Exfoliating too often (more than 1-2 times per week) can strip the skin of essential oils and cause sensitivity.
  • "Anti-aging" at a  young age:   Focus on sun protection and general skin health in your teens and 20s. More       targeted treatments can be introduced later if desired
  •  Toning       (AM-PM)-    Avoid using toners with alcohol in them as it can cause dehydrate and cause dryness. Instead        use  moisturizing components such as  Hyaluronic Acid and other natural compounds such as Rosewater.
  • Avoid sleeping in makeup, picking your skin, overloading on products, not washing your tools, skipping the       sunscreen, not having restful sleep.
