HEEL SPUR TREATED WITH HOMOEOPATHY.

A Calcaneal spur is a bony outgrowth formed on the heel bone.

CAUSES : -Plantar fasciitis is the most common cause of calcaneal spur 

-The other commonest etiology is abnormal pronation which results in increased  tension forces within the structures that attach in the region of tuberosity.

-Calcaneal spur develops  when proper care is not given to foot .

 SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS :

-Major symptoms include pain in the region surrounding spur .

-Running, walking or lifting heavy weight may exacerbate the issue.

CASE OFCALCANEAL SPUR:

-A Female aged 60 years Came to clinic with complaints of Bilateral heel pain which is worse on left side. Patient was apparently diagnosed a year back with fasciitis.

- Most common experienced Conflict in spur is severe self- devaluation conflict regarding performance, patient feeling unable to perform task like she used to do previously, leading to bone decalcification.

- Patient had severe pain when at rest, on lying down and starting the day. This typical sensation of pricking ,made it difficult for her to walk and her activity had slowed down subsequently.

- An x-ray revealed Spur Formation on left more than on right , and was advised to get surgery done .

- Patient even said she used to face difficulty in balancing and that she fell frequently and her left feet was swollen making it round .On Examination – Severe Tenderness and soreness. 

-She  was asked to rate her pain on a scale of 10 , which was 7 .

- 1 Month after Homoeopathy – Soreness improved , pricking sensation improved , swelling had also reduced . Walking and standing long still was difficult.

- After 4Months of treatment patient said her pains had disappeared , she could balance herself quiet well , swelling disappeared and no more pricking sensation.

- Mentally also the conflict active phase resolved wherein there was no more feeling of self devaluation. Patient was off treatment after 6 months of complete treatment , improved physically and mentally.
