For people who have lost most of their teeth in a jaw, or whose remaining teeth are failing, full-arch implant treatment offers a fixed set of teeth that stays in place. All-on-6 is one way of doing this: six implants support a complete set of fixed teeth for the upper or lower jaw.
Who it is for
Most or all teeth in the upper or lower jaw are missing
The remaining teeth are badly decayed, loose or broken
A removable denture is loose, uncomfortable or makes eating difficult
How All-on-6 works
Six implants are placed along the jaw and support a fixed bridge of around ten to fourteen teeth. The bridge is screwed onto the implants, so it does not come out at night the way a denture does. Spreading the biting load across six implants gives the bridge broad support, which is particularly useful in the upper jaw, where the bone is softer.
Is there enough bone?
Placing six implants needs enough bone in the right places. This is checked with a 3D CBCT scan before anything is decided. Where bone is limited, the plan may change, or bone grafting may be needed.
What the treatment involves
Planning. Examination, a 3D CBCT scan and a review of your medical history.
Surgery day. Any failing teeth are removed and the implants placed, usually under local anaesthesia.
Temporary teeth. When the implants are stable enough, a fixed temporary bridge is often fitted within a few days.
Healing. Over roughly three to six months the implants fuse with the bone.
Final bridge. The permanent bridge is then made and fitted.
Living with full-arch implants
Soft food is advised while the implants heal. Afterwards most people eat normally. The bridge needs daily cleaning underneath, usually with a water flosser or small interdental brushes, plus regular professional cleaning and reviews. Smoking and poorly controlled diabetes raise the risk of implant problems, so both are addressed before treatment.
Success and risks
The dental literature puts long-term implant success at around 95%. That means a small number do fail, which is why careful planning, gum health and maintenance matter. At our clinic, an implant we placed that fails is replaced, though if the bone needs to heal first, the replacement is done on a later visit.
Cost
Implant treatment in Delhi NCR typically starts from around ₹50,000 per implant. A full-arch cost depends on the number of implants, whether extractions or bone grafting are needed, and the material of the final bridge. An exact quote follows the 3D scan.

If you are living with a loose denture or failing teeth, an examination and 3D scan will show whether a fixed full-arch option suits you.
