Going for skin care procedure, keep 3 things in mind-

  • Avoid tanning and sun exposure for two wks prior to treatment. Use a sunscreen SPF more than 30.
  • Beware of what you are using every day. Discontinue use of any products containing glycolic and lactic acids ( these are high strength alpha hydroxy  acids ) and prescription vitamin A derivatives ( retinoids) one to two wks prior to the procedure.
  • Any open sores, lesions, acne, skin infections etc. limit certain procedures till they heal.
