Menopause is a normal phase which happens to all women typically from late 40s to early 50s, where they have no menstrual period for one year marking the end of her reproductive cycle.

Symptoms:

4. What is perimenopause?
Perimenopause is a period before menopause that can begin 8-10 years before menopause but typically begins in late 30s or early 40s wherein a woman may experience menopausal symptoms. She can still get pregnant as ovaries still produce estrogen, though in lesser quantity.

Bleeding from the vagina after menopause isn't normal. Hence, it should be assessed by a doctor. It can be due to thinning of vaginal lining or endometrial lining causing degeneration or it may be due to endometrial or cervical cancer.
