MSc - Counselling Psychology
A psychodynamic and person-centred psychotherapist, currently undergoing somatic experiencing training. My professional interests seek to explore how our pasts and present, diversity, difference and power are all interwoven into complex narratives, seeping into our inner world influencing our relationships with ourselves and others. I therefore view therapy as a space for healing systemic, trans-generational wounds using a trauma informed lens to contextualise individuals.I have a specific interest in psychosocial studies, trauma, somatic experiences and decolonising psychotherapeutic narratives.
I have been associated with Noopur for three years at cult not at her individual practice. She is very good at listening to your problems. You feel light after discussing your things with her. She makes you feel at home and being an anxious person this was very much needed for me. I many times even brainstorm my complex life decisions with her. There are somethings which are likely to get biased opinion if you discuss them with friends or family, but if you discuss them with Noopur she does a logical analysis without biasing. I strongly recommend her.
On My recent visit to India , I had to consult her for a family member who was having some Mental Issues, post Covid due to death in the family. I visited her on recommendation of a friend .I found her to be very Polite, friendly and understanding, and had an excellent understanding of the patient issue and suffering. Was very comforting for the patient and the family, felt very happy to find such a young person so mature and with great understanding of the underlying issue, and a few sessions with her brought back the patient to being normal and giving a big relief to the family members.
Mental health problems are often neglected but with such talented young providers I am sure more people will visit and seek help in time. I would recommend her and I see a great future for her in her field , I hope one day she can also provide help to the poor free of charge one day a month.
