If you take birth control pills, the lining of the uterus does not build up or thicken. When you stop taking the Pill, you will have what is called a “withdrawal” period which happens because the level of the hormones drop. This type of period is usually shorter and lighter.

Withdrawal bleeding occurs when u stop the pills and there happens fall in progesterone levels which leads to bleeding. And Periods is the bleeding that happens due to the physiological process within the body where we get menstrual bleeding due to the decrease in progesterone levels that happens as a normal process in everyone's body.
