Psychosis is a group of disorders where patient isn't aware of his symptomatology or odd beliefs like delusions or hearing of voices like hallucinations .
Exact reason for psychosis isn't known however it is believed that there is chemical imbalance in brain and structural brain changes .
Yes stress can precipitate psychosis most common being expressed emotions .
Drugs of abuse like cocaine ,cannabis ,alcohol etc can lead or precipitate psychosis
