What are numbness of legs treatment

Asked for Male, 23 Years

I am a mother of a 23 year old boy. My son has ended up with sudden numbness in both his legs below the knee region. This has happened in the last 4 to 5 days. He is mobile but what is the treatment to relieve this numbness and is this indicating to the start of some major illness?
