My wife is in her 1st trimester and been told has molar pregnancy. What are the causes of molar pregnancy? Is it due to certain hormones or can it be due to any stress? Will any food can cause it? Does it happen to high risk ladies who is of 34 age?

Molar pregnancies are actually a dna or chromosomal problem . There are also chances of cancer ....when the pregnancy is removed by a cleaning procedure the products need to be sent for testing to rule out cancer.
It is more commonly seen in elder women .
