What are diarrhea medicine for adults
Hi my husband is 38 year old and is having stomach infection since 2 days. Today he started with diarrhea and has passed stools for 4-5 times. He is completely drained out and is feeling very weak. Along with rehydration supplement kindly suggest some medicine that can be given in adults for diarrhea

- Stay hydrated, drink 3 liters of water per day and 1 liter ORS in water so total 4 liters. coconut water is also preferred - Don't skip meals instead have a liquid diet containing soups and juices and slowly increase to solid diet based on how teh food can be tolerated. - Avoid spicy, oily, deep fried and junk food - Avoid tea, coffee and carbonated drinks. If the condition persists or worsens kindly visit the ER at the earliest.
Next Steps
he might need antibiotics if he doesnt get better.
