Weight Loss b4 surger
My mother is diagnosed with Hernia (Umblical and Incisional) and doctor has advised her to reduce Fat/Weight before the surgery so that complications doesn't arise during the Hernia Repair Surgery (MeshPlasty) Age : 66 Height : 5ft 2 inch Weight: 83kg What are the possibilities of losing weight in this age considering 1. she takes thyroid medicine 25mg daily in the morning . 2. Previous operations : Knee Replacement so bending of knees is not allowed .

Weight gain happens either due to addition of extra calories or due to failure to spend calories consumed...these extra calories deposited in our body as fat..for weight reduction you have to consume less calories and spend more...avoid junk foods,carbohydrates like rice etc,avoid oily foods...add proteins and fibre rich foods to your diet with green tea,green leafy vegetables, fruits...do regular exercise at least 2 hours a day...Consult dietitian they will do the needful.
