Weight Loss and Bowel Changes
I am 28 years old and concerned about a gradual change in my weight and bowel habits. My weight was around 54–55 kg from June 2025 until April 2026. Since June 2026, it has generally been around 52–53 kg. Today it was 51.8 kg after passing stool and urine, without clothes. Since April 2026, I have had occasional loose stools, mainly after eating spicy or outside food. I generally have no such problem with normal home-cooked food. I have stopped eating outside food completely for the past 2 months. I have a history of IBS and abdominal TB in the past. I also have a painless external swelling near the anus that tends to swell when I pass hard stool. Last year, I had 1–2 episodes of blood in the stool after passing hard stool, but no persistent bleeding. I have already consulted a gastroenterologist who reviewed my history and felt that my bowel symptoms are post-infectious and reassured me that I am healthy.
