Weight gain and irregular periods

Asked for Female, 16 Years

I've been told to take primolut for 5 days if my period is late ,which happens every time. I'm also told to lose weight to solve this problem of irregular periods .Will primolut result in unwanted weight gain? If yes then what should I do?
