this occurs due to nasolacrimal duct obstruction which is very common in children at this age it occurs due to obstruction of pathway (nasolacrimal duct) from eyes to the nose for which eyes massage is needed regularly and this problem goes away with increasing age of the child meet your doctor for more information and also go through various videos which will also tell you how to massage the eyes to decrease the obstruction. if the obstruction is not taken care of the proper massage it can lead to infection in the eyes and more watery eyes as well as red eyes and secretions from the eyes

Might be due to Nasolacrimal Dout block. Do lacrimal massage. Clean the eyes with cotton balls.

Tears are formed about the eyes. They flow through the eye to keep it wet and then drain into the nose. That last part of drainage into the nose sometimes get blocked and so tears come out, especially for child below 6 months. To clear the blockage, you have to do a massage on the nose above the inner part of the eye, in circular motions for a minute or two for 3 to 5 times a day. Ideally any eye specialist dr would tell you to do same for 6 months and wait, but if not improving after a week then consult an eye specialist.
