Vitamin D dosage
My wife has a low vitamin D level of 8, while it should actually be 40. A doctor gas prescribed her a vitamin d3 sachet of 60k units each and has asked her to take a sachet once in a week for 6 weeks and later take one sachet every two weeks for the next 6 weeks. Isn't 60k too high a dosage?

Since the age is just 24 yrs, the injection therapy may not be necessary. Just take weekly 60k unit of Sachet of Vit D3 at early morning with empty stomach preferably with Milk. Remember it should be strictly in morning time as it is a hormone afterall  and this timing suit to biological clock of our body. If one forgets, take next day instead of taking it haphazardly at afternoon or evening. After 8 sachet, check vit D3 level again. Also it is better to take Shelcal HD -12 tablet once a day for 30 days.

Hello Dear 60k IU is the standard dose of vitamin D. Whatever your doctor has prescribed is just fine. Along with it, it will be better if she also takes Inj Arachitol once a week for four weeks as it will help bring her levels back to normal.
