Visible Epiglottis
Hi Doc, I had a sore throat , so I had a doubt , when i looked at it with the torch in the mirror , it's not the uvula , I saw a flap like thing, when i googled about the same , i managed to know that it is the epiglottis, I don't have any pain while swallowing, but I feel that something is there in my throat , is it Epiglotitis, I am afraid please tell me please

Epiglottis is visible in some normal cases.. visible epiglottis is not the reason for your sensation in throat..it is due to congestion caused by sore throat or infection
