Viral fever followed by rashes
Hi Doctor, My son is 11 months old. From last sunday afternoon he had Viral fever and lasts till Thursday. From Thursday morning he developed rashes on the face and today it appeared all over the body. Its like Measles, but he have no cough, cold and runny nose. We have vaccinated with MMR on 2nd Feb.(Also he had an episode of Viral induced thrombocytopenia on last August). We made the blood and urine test on last tuesday. Results are normal. Is it possible to develop measles even after vaccinated? Also any other complications? Please help me doctor..... Thanks in advance

First we have to confirm whether it is measles rash. If you have taken any picture that will be helpful. Measles vaccine can have 10 to 15% failure rates because by 9 months only one dose is given usually. If you want to confirm we should send for measles PCR test. Measles usually die not cause any complications. But some children can get diarrhoea, pneumonia etc...
Next Steps
Meet your pediatrician if any complications are there.
