Very noticeable diminishment in hearing
I have been sick for a week now. Symptons developed into a fluctuating fever, chills, coughing, painful stomach and eventually, a very sore throat on one side as well as difficulty swallowing.
I saw a white growth on my right tonsil and realised I had tonsillitis. Currently taking antibiotic that has been prescribed to me in order to treat it.
Over the past two days, I have noticed diminishment in hearing in my left ear. Is this temporary/caused by tonsillitis? (Never had it before now)

Tonsillitis usually do not cause diminished hearing. It may be because of cold you are suffering from. You may be having eustachian tube dysfunction. Usually it will resolve on its own once cold is treated. It's safer to undergo detailed audiological evaluation to confirm the diagnosis
