Hello Blood clots in the superficial veins are easy to detect and troublesome but are usually harmless. A person may feel an area of tenderness and pain in the varicose vein, along with redness and swelling. These are different from Deep vein thrombosis which is a serious condition where clot can travel to the lungs and heart Some self care tips Elevate the legs as much as possible. If the person can take half-hour breaks during the day to rest, do it. It is important to raise the legs up above the level of the heart to get the maximum effect, and to do this for about a half-hour each time. Wear compression stockings Walking strengthen muscles of legs and improves circulation Don't sit cross legs Loose weight if you are overweight

If ur doc has said it's minor not to worry ,then don't bother and get treated for varicose vein..avoid long standing and sitting ..it is caused by low blood circulation ..while sleeping u need foot end elevation
