The diseases that may spread during natural calamities like floods are water and food borne diseases like typhoid, cholera, diarrhoea, and mosquito borne diseases like malaria and dengue and few others. Currently there is no recommendation for vaccinations for flood affected. But nevertheless you can vaccinate your child with typhoid conjugate vaccine, if not already given apart from the other vaccines routinely given. What is more important is to take clean water and food. Boil water. Handwash etc, Basic hygiene will avoid many diseases spread during such calamities.
