HI Dr, I am hypertensive and also currently having DVT in my left leg from last few months. I am taking eliqius 5 mg twice per day from last few months. For hypertension I am taking 5mg amlopres and 50mg losar once per day.
I am planning to get vaccinated but have few queries-
- Which vaccine to prefer? Covishield or Covaxin? since initially it came in news that Covaxin is not for people on blood thinners.
- what precautions to take before vaccination? Should I stop eliqius for few days before or continue as it is?
- is there any additional side effect of vaccine for people on blood thinners?
