how old was it and how many times did you use it? If your eye is paining please visit your local ophthalmologist. If you develop a serious eye infection you will be in more trouble. Dont be penny wise pound foolish. We doctors are not perfect but we havent studied 10 yrs for nothing. Hope nothing too serious in your case. If its just once that you used it should be alright but nevertheless please pay a visit to the doctor.

washing with tap water also could be an issue if there is an infection as tap water contains bacteria.

Hi..if ther was no redness or discharge from the eye, no infection happening, then dont think anything went wrong by putting those drops.
Try not doing that again, but for now, no issues.
Can use Refresh tears eye drops 2/3 times .
