Urine infection
Having high fever 103 yesterday and around 101 now, having extreme pain while urinating, family physician prescribed oflotas 200mg, twice a day, is this a serious problem?

Hi there...fever and burning micturition could indicate an urinary tract infection. And ofloxacin is effective in cases of urinary tract infection. But sometimes fever could be caused by even other bacterial or viruses and burning micturition could just be an associated symptom. So you will require a detailed clinical examination and other symptoms will have to looked into. Also you might need few blood investigations including urine routine and urine culture and sensitivity. So kindly consult a general physician for further evaluation.
