Urinary tract infection
Hello Doctor, I am a mother of 2 weeks old daughter and recently diagnosed that I have a urinary tract infection (E-Coli bacteria) which counts 100000. So I am prescribed with T. Martifur 100 1 tablet twice a day for 14 days. My concern is, I am breast feeding my newborn and would it affect my baby by anymean? Kindly help me out. Thank you.

Nitrofurantoin is a relatively safer drug advised for urinary tract infection during pregnancy and post pregnancy period. However all drugs have few side effects.drugs have to be taken to treat the disease which is a much bigger problem. Have a good follow up with your physician for any difficulty .
