Ethambutol given for tuberculosis has led to optic atrophy ,that is why when tuberculosis drug is given ,he or she is asked to get eye checked up every two months for early detection of side effect of ethambutol, once optic atrophy is established ,nothing can be done . You may consult neurologist (DM Neurology) at least once for his opinion.
