TSH Value 8.6, 7 Week Pregnant
Hi Dr, My wife diagnosed with 8.6 TSH last week, she is 7 week pregnant, i am little worried, when i was seeing online, people have said TSH will affect baby brain development ( with lower IQ or so) and it may be lead to miscarriage or preterm birth, Our gyano as advised to take Thyronorm 75MG for one month, kindly advise will be there any problem

Hello....... The normal thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) level during pregnancy is lower than the normal nonpregnancy level. organogenesis  occurs in first trimester so thyroid harmone is very  important in first  trimester..  You have to take thyronorm, supplementation is required in hypothyroidism..
