TSH 6.75 in routine thyroid test
Firstly, there’s no problem that my 57 years old wife has. She took a routine thyroid check where TSH is 6.75. Is it fine or should she take some precautions and/or medication?

I would like to pinch in here by saying that if you have done a routine TSH of your wife for the first time ever and the report is saying TSH levels of 6.75 mg ,then u first of all u stop worrying.Modern Day Endocrinologists don’t put patients on Anti Hypothyroid medicine if a random TSH and/or repeat TSH done after 3 months interval is less than 10ug.Its because serum TSH levels fluctuate with day and night being highest usually around early morning. So sit back, relax and do a repeat TSH test of your wife after 3 months
