I got nummular eczema in 2011-12 probably due to an insect bite in the forest. Areas affected were upper lip, side of foot and both elbows. I was prescribed Ebast tablets and another tablet which I don't remember. I was prescribed an ointment which I had to mix in 1:1 ration with Aloederm ointment. Frankly the treatment gave temporary relief. Later in 2014-15 it went away by itself. But now a few weeks ago, it has returned on my knuckle and elbow. Please recommend a strong and permanent cure.

There may be no permanent cure. Some dermatological problems tend be recurrent. You must use a moisturizer daily. See a qualified dermatologist for detailed evaluation. Warm regards, Dr Govind Suresh Mittal, Bengaluru
