Treatment face swelling
I was suffering from ring worm. A local doctor suggested to injected kenacot injection. I had 4 in 20 days. Now I have very puffy face. I have consulted a dermatologist. He said that this because of kenacot injection. As it contains steroids. Now please suggest me is there any medication to reduce the steroids level or I can get my previous face. He also suggested that there is some medication and with the help of this your body water level will be down. But you will feel very week. Please suggest me I am ready to get the medication.

Hello there. I can understand your concern. The treatment of ring worm is never steroids. So either you have not consulted a real doctor because last time you said that "someone" suggested that injection, not some local doctor. Even if your local doctor had suggested steroids, he is probably not a doctor. He is a quack. Ring worm is a fungal issue, and if steroids are given, the fungal issue can flare up. The swelling will gradually reduce. Don't have to do anything. Don't take any further medicines now except for tab. Aquazide 12.5mg once a day for 3 days. Consult a dermatologist for further help if it doesn't reduce. Regards, Dr. Anil Kumar Jain.

Hi there.. I can understand your concern.. steroids have various side effects like Elevated pressure in the eyes (glaucoma),Fluid retention, causing swelling in your lower legs, High blood pressure, Problems with mood, memory, behavior and other psychological effects, Weight gain, with fat deposits in your abdomen, face and the back of your neck, Clouding of the lens in one or both eyes (cataracts), High blood sugar, which can trigger or worsen diabetes, Increased risk of infections, Thinning bones (osteoporosis) and fractures, Suppressed adrenal gland hormone production, Thin skin, bruising and slower wound healing.. to treat it/reduce above effects, reduce the dose of steroids, follow healthy diet and workout.. never stop steroids suddenly as that can affect your normal hormone production in body.. stop it gradually.. once it's stopped and you revert back to your normal healthy lifestyle then al these effects will go gradually..
