My wbc count is 16.3x10^3 .doctor told to admit he will give some injections but I asked for tables he gave antibiotics for three days .what is the meaning of 16.3 x10^3.he told I had mild hydrouteronephrosis so I got infection should I take antibiotics through iv

16.3 ×10^3 is ur white blood cell count. It is usually between 5 to 11 k Increased white blood cell count is mostly  due to an existing infection anywhere in the body. What r ur symptoms currently.

Hi It depends on how sick you are clinically. Ideally further testing to be done for what is causing HUN. Also urine and blood cultures to be taken. Oral antibiotics can be tired if you are stable, however better to get admitted if have worsening symptoms. @KidneyDoctorrr
