It is okay to keep baby in cooler. U can check temperature of hands and feet by the back of your hand n see if they are cold then it is cool for baby.
Dont keep under direct air current of cooler.
In monsoon, make child comfortable in neutral environment. Wear full sleeve cloths and bottom which cover most part and free air passage but clothes material is cotton; so there will not be sweating and protect him/her from mosquito bite. Yes you can use fan and if needed AC too, but for instructions for AC use are
1) Intermittent use ( means if room is enough cool switch off and switch on if needed. Not continues
2) Set AC temperature between 27-30 degree centigrade. (For adult also it should be more than 25 degree centigrade)
3) do not keep child in direct air flow of AC.
4) Room temperature should be maintained and keep at comfortable.
5) never switch child surrounding temperature too quickly. ( Means never keep child in full AC with low degree temperature following high degree temperature, mostly in summer). This will harm body more.
Health Tips
exclusive breastfeeding for 6 months.
skin to skin contact( Kangaroo mother care) as much as child comfortable.
You can use AC at 26 to 28 degrees centigrade. If you are using normal cooler see that u maintain the room temp as mentioned above. But directly keeping baby under the air currents of cooler is not recommended.
