To continue Oxetol Tablet in Pregnancy
My wife was diagnosed by neurocysticercosis around 4 years ago and she has been under medication for fits. Doctor has given daily dose of tablet Oxetol 300-300 (Morning & Evening) which she was taking till first week of Mar-2017. We visited nearby neurologist and the doctor advised to reduce daily dose to 300-150 and During this we have got to know that she is pregnant and missed he MC period which is supposed to be in first week on Apr-2017 (around 2nd or 3rd April). Again we visited same doctor on 07-Apr-2017 and she further reduced dose to 150-150 and recommended consultation of gynecologist and advised that after 15 days we can reduce daily dose to 150 and after 15 days we can stop this tablet. Since my wife is now approximately 6th week of Pregnancy. What would be a risk to continue with the Pregnancy? Since this tablet is related to brain or epilepsy, is it OK to go with this. Similar questions I have been into. I am really confused and need your consultation on this.
