Tmt report(stress test)
Hi,am curious to know about this tmt report.My dad is fit and fine and he go for walk daily for 1hr.He is diabetic from past 18years and its under control.He just get annual checkup everyyear.He dnt have any chest pain or any other sympotoms.what does it mean stress test is boarderline positive for inducible ischemi.In echo his report is normal.Please do reply

tmt positive means on giving stress /workload to your heart ,there are changes in ecg suggesting blockage of coronary arteries. but, the problem is that tmt is not a highly sensitive test ,so false positives are high. your doctor is the best judge in that case, do whatever he advises.
