I have chronic constipation and have a felling of tightness near the diaphgram like all the food is stuck upwards.
PS-the problem is not due to lack of fiber,water etc usually recommended for constipation.going to chiropractor has helped a little

Several types of laxatives exist. Each works somewhat differently to make it easier to have a bowel movement..... Lubricants enable stool to move through your colon more easily....Consult Physician for further advice....
