Throat Infection

I am getting throat infection regularly every two months when ever there is a climate change. Some time it goes away with salt water gargling but some other times I need
to take antibiotics for recovering. What is the prime reason for throat infection and how do we prevent it?

3-post nasal drip(cold or sinusitis)
4-smetimes small dust particles or insects may get embedded In nasopharynx and starts irritation
its bettr to avoid the precipitating factors by wearing face mask
